Christopher Hamer
Chris has been in the IP profession for over 20 years. His practice areas include drafting and prosecution of global patent families, opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office where he has significant experience and a successful track record, having acted for numerous international companies. Dr Sophie McComb
Sophie is working across all business units to develop analytical tools to assist in more robust business decisions as well as improved managerial procedures. She has a proven track record in obtaining funding, in excess of £1.5 Million. Sophie was awarded the ‘Vice Chancellors PDRA Award’ in 2017 for the pivotal role she played in gaining significant funds to enhance research in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at QUB. She is currently studying a part-time MBA, which is sponsored by GLT.
Angus Smith
Angus Smith is an experienced Chemical Engineer with a background in Chemistry possessing 33 years industry experience through working for BP, Ineos and Saudi Aramco in the surfactants, oil refining, petrochemicals and renewables / sustainability sectors. With significant Process and Operations Engineering, Plant Management and Engineering Services experience, Angus has recently joined the Green Lizard Technologies Team in the role of Head of Engineering. His recent experience includes working on a suite of sustainability and renewables projects covering second generation biofuels production, plastics chemical recycling and speciality chemicals manufacturing through CO2 sequestration.
Mark McCoy
Mark joined GLT in 2020 and is currently working as a Project Manager for the Plastics Recycling Project. Mark has previous experience the chemical recycling of PET plastic with Poseidon Plastics, successfully carrying out an Invest NI project for proof of concept. He graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2019 with a master’s in chemical engineering and has experience in project management and operations and maintenance for anaerobic digestion and water treatment processes.
